Charming preppy guest room/office reveal! And sources
Classic Feminine Wallpapered Guest Room
This is a really great room because it has south and west-facing windows, so lots of light particularly in the afternoon. I love it for my office for that reason! But it’s also just beautiful as a peaceful bed to look at as I passed by in the hall. And, we’ve used it to sleep in when it’s too hot upstairs! The blue and white Rifle Paper Co. paper wallpaper was obviously the anchor, but since it is a little cleaner/fresher/preppier then I've done the past few years. It took me a lot of head-scratching to find the rest of the pieces.
The bedding is The Company Store. I always love traditional border print duvet covers and shams, and this one comes in this pretty coral color and scallops!! (Who doesn’t love scallops right now for a girly touch.) The long lumbar pillow is Rifle Paper Co. x The Company Store and matches the wallpaper, which is such a fun touch. The embroidered floral pillow on the chair is also from Rifle Paper Co. I love that it ties in the warmth of the chair.
The rug is the same one that I had here before, but weave rugs are so versatile! I love this one so much. It’s from the Lauren Liess collection from Rugs USA. Rugs USA is honestly just the best source for affordable natural fiber rugs. I love a jute one with a little extra interest.
The light fixture is so fun and different than others I've used before. White! Like the definition of fresh. It's from Lightopia.
The two little gold frames in the corner with the watercolors were the last touch. I wanted some art or a big mirror there to balance the window, but I was going for a Nancy Myers vibe and didn’t want to go with faux oil painting art like is so trendy right now. So I painted a couple of little watercolors at 10:30 at night the other day and framed them these estate sale frames. I love them!
I’ll list and link where possible the other sources below.
But first... memory lane, here's how it looked when we bought the house...
Then I made it a little cozier and warmer last summer.
