When I was pregnant with Otto we took a
babymoon to the Oregon coast and took
glamorous maternity photos with a professional photographer on top of Cape Kiwanda. Well, things are a little different this time around... energetic 2-year-old in tow, Jason studying for the physical therapy board exam all the time, global pandemic... so we did it a little differently for baby #2!
I didn't need all the glamour of a fancy dress and beautiful setting, just wanted to capture my (massive, can't believe how big) baby bump and our family so far which includes Otto. We took these in our backyard while Otto played in the kiddie pool on a 100-degree day!
Felt so good to take off my thigh-high compression socks and play in the cool water on a hot day! Haha!
Nothing special but I am really proud of our backyard and
gazebo and we do spend a lot of time out here, so with no travel plans this summer anyway, makes sense to take pics here!
As I shared in
my last pregnancy update it is definitely harder this time around. I am not comfortable. 38 weeks this week, not sleeping great, still healthy, think I've gained about 30 pounds. All normal stuff but man, these last few weeks are not fun. Neither are the sleepless nights with a newborn, I know. Ah well!
