How to Wear DIY: A little bit hippie, and pastel jeans that were once white
I got a chance to wear them last weekend when we had some glorious sunshine and warm temperatures. I pulled out my new aviators (cheapo at Forever 21), a hippie crinkle cotton Old Navy top I got in the Goodwill Outlet bins, and a sort of tribal-ish brushed necklace. Somehow I felt that the combo worked with the yellow jeans, because they are a soft color, so rather than a bold, edgy look, which you definitely can do with colored jeans!, I went a little more boho.
Top: Old Navy via Goodwill Outlet (similar). Necklace: Nordstrom Rack (similar). Shoes: JC Penney (similar).
Sunnies: Forever 21. Bag: Wilson's Leather via Goodwill. Jeans: DIY, dyed and altered!
Hoorah for wearing YELLOW jeans!! I feel so adventurous!
SO CUTE! they look great on you!

Awesome re-fashion. On a separate note, can you please stop pimping Forever 21? They are the evil empire of child labour-enslaving, sweatshop-rocking, copyright-infringing, environment-flipping, blogger-suing, fast-fashion-short-lifecycle-garment-crap. You don't need anything from them. So please don't 'feature' them. Unless they are sponsoring you in some way. In which case you should mention it so that greens like myself can avoid the retinal damage induced by gazing up their shi*tty 'creations' by staying away from here..
ReplyDeleteHm. Thanks for your comment. To address your uncertainty, they are certainly not sponsoring me and I've bought everything I own from them. I don't tend to get very political about brands these days, and don't have the time or capacity to do all my research and really know who I'm supporting and how--so perhaps I should be less enthusiastic about them. I have plenty of defenses for my shopping habits, however; so I'm not too worried about the $10-15/month that I spend there. Thanks again for your comment.
