Blogger refashion swap part 2--my skirt!

As I mentioned last week... a bunch of great sewing bloggers recently did a men's shirt refashion challenge, the Button Up Refashion Swap--and upcycled shirts for each other, in different, creative ways.

You can see the shirt that I made on Sunni of A Fashionable Stitch on her post from Tuesday.  And today I'm happy to share the skirt that Krista made for me!

And be sure to check out the other lovely bloggers who are participating as they share the results of the swap!  Here's the schedule:

Monday, May 21st: Lizzie of Cotton & Curls, Krista of Lazy Saturdays
Tuesday, May 22nd: Sunni of A Fashionable Stitch, Kate of See Kate Sew
Wednesday, May 23rd: Suzannah of Adventures in Dressmaking, Miranda of One Little Minute
Thursday, May 24th: Miriam of MadMim, Melissa of I Still Love You
Friday, May 25th: Megan of Megan Nielsen Design, Jennifer of Grainline Studio

As for what Krista put together, here's her tutorial post about the skirt, with the before and after pics of the shirt.  Her tutorial shows how to make a skirt out of a small men's shirt, getting creative about using multiple parts if you need more fabric.  Here it is on me!

Also just posted today, check out Miranda's post on One Little Minute--Miranda, of course, put lots of this challenge together, and I'm excited to see her in the refashion made for her!

Are you inspired to refashion things now?

Check out my men's shirt-to-dress post and tutorial here. =)  Many of you left some of the sweetest comments, glad you liked it!
