Festive fall weekend plans!
This weekend, we're going to a pumpkin patch and corn maze as well as the Portland Nursery Apple Tasting Festival, then coming home to make a yummy festive fall dinner with homemade vegan caramel apples and pumpkin soup and the works!
Getting inspired for fall. Hopefully I'll dress cute...
Going somewhere that looks like this...
To eat stuff like this...
Hope to get in the fall mood! How about you?
Corn mazes and apples, sound like Sauvie's Island.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a recipe for vegan caramel apples to share? My family and I are newly vegan, and I've been really craving caramel apples after seeing them in the stores. Didn't actually look to see if the ingredients had milk in them or not, but if you have a recipe that you KNOW is vegan, would love it if you would share!! :)
ReplyDelete@Danielle, we might do Sauvie's Island or this place south of Hillsboro... hope it doesn't rain on us.
ReplyDelete@Melisa, congrats on a family veganism conversion! I've actually never made vegan caramel apples but these two recipes sound most promising:

Basically you just need vegan sweetened condensed milk, which you can make.
I'll actually be making *raw* vegan caramel apples, though, so I'll do something with dates and maple syrup and such!
Sounds amazing! Not tell me where I can find the guy in the first picture, and my weekend will be complete :)
