Before & after: Oval mirror
The frame was simple wood but it was painted a sad dull blue color. I taped off the glass and gave it several coats of white hi-gloss paint, and put it in the (still mid-decorate) bathroom above the sink!
It makes such a big difference just to paint it--I'm really glad I found the right shape mirror to re-do! Such a simple change, but it really helps.
Colour plays a big role in anything you make!

It is amazing how much a little paint can do, isn't it?! I love the shape of that mirror. I've alway liked the look of an oval shape above a bathroom sink.
ReplyDeleteLove those small changes that make large impact projects. My daughter just completed a similar mirror, but she decopaged the frame
ReplyDeleteLove the white! I also love your blog! I have actually given you an award! Check out my blog for more info! http://janinethemachine.blogspot.com/ Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving seeing all of your updates to your new home... a good reminder for me especially that sewing is not just about making clothing! Our current place has all plantation shutters, but one of these days, I will be excited to try my hand at some curtains!
