No ruffles this time
I started with this tee:
And cut off the sleeves. I cut open the sleeve pieces into strips to decorate the tee with, and then I finished the short sleeve edges using this technique from Make It and Love It.
I did the same thing on the hem, with sleeve pieces, just for fun, and on the neckline but with several layers. It came out pretty interesting but not girly or froofy:
Simple, casual, but fun. It was a fun project!
Cute! I have had that same idea bouncing around my head for a while now too. Now if I can only find a few minutes I will make one for myself!

ReplyDeleteI think I want to do this to my shirt I just made. I haven't finished the edges. I did the bottom hem and it stretched in an ugly way.
